MTN Cameroon

Overview

MTN Cameroon is the leader of the mobile telephony market in Cameroon. Founded in 2000, The MTN Group provides cellular network access and associated services through its subsidiaries and joint ventures. MTN had over 3.7 million active subscribers, over 800 permanent staff, and has invested over FCFA 213 billion in the development of a state-of-the-art network (as of 31 December 2008).

While MTN Cameroon had expanded into broadband internet years ago, they had been offering purely postpaid services and wished to expand into prepaid internet. In order to maintain customer satisfaction, MTNC wished to offer prepaid internet as part of a fixed mobile solution that would allow them to use their existing Ericsson IN system and maintain a common interface for all agents and customers.

In addition, MTNC wished to expand into Wi Fi and required a Wi-Fi management.
