Capetown, South Africa, 14 December 2009— Alepo Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of OSS/BSS solutions for next generation services, announced today its partnership with MTN Cameroon, the leading mobile phone provider in the country, for the deployment of a fixed mobile convergent GSM and broadband data network as well as a Wifi Management Solution.
Alepo will create a fixed mobile solution through integration with the existing Ericsson IN to provide both GSM and broadband to customers on a single prepaid account. This fixed mobile solution includes the deployment of Alepo’s state-of-the-art BSS system, Alepo Service Enabler, a proprietary AAA Server and IN to IP charging gateway. It was important for MTN Cameroon to find a solution that would seamlessly migrate their customers from postpaid to a prepaid model in order to increase customer satisfaction and increase revenue by offering a zero-leakage solution.
By selecting Alepo, MTNC was assured of a solution that could be deployed with no interruption of business, and one that could offer new services without any changes to existing agent and customer interfaces, ensuring increased customer satisfaction.
Additionally, Alepo was chosen to provide Wifi Management software to facilitate MTN Cameroon’s expansion of Wifi Internet service. Alepo will provide network monitoring, reporting, location management and commissioning for MTNC’s network of hotspots. Choosing one partner for both a fixed mobile and Wifi management solution eased integration and decreased the price significantly.
