Yatanarpon Teleport Selects Alepo for Fixed Broadband Transformation and Next-Generation Network Services
Yatanarpon Teleport (YTP) recently partnered with Alepo to modernize its existing core FTTH, ADSL and wireless broadband network in order to pave the way for the next-generation network services. With advanced workflow management and the award-winning My Mobile Buddy app, YTP will revamp its core network to become sleeker, more efficient, and responsive to shifting customer needs.
Thursday, May 11, 2017, Austin, TX – Alepo (www.alepo.com) – a global provider of core network and IT software solutions for communications service providers, announced today that YTP, a state-owned ISP, has selected Alepo to provide a convergent AAA, policy, billing and customer care solution for its fixed and wireless broadband network in Myanmar.
Alepo’s solution was chosen to replace a legacy system unable to keep up with changes in the scope of YTP’s growing market. As they strove to add new services, nuanced policy, and move towards next generation network services, they needed to find a partner with the flexibility necessary to help them pivot toward future services. Alepo’s robust and convergent solution allowed them to introduce new products and services to the market immediately, with no service interruption, lowering the cost of this vital upgrade.
Among the modules selected was Alepo’s award-winning My Mobile Buddy app, a means of invidual policy control, allowing customers to build their own plans according to many policy parameters such as altering family plans, buying turbo boosts, purchasing roaming plans, and more.
YTP also looked to Alepo to improve their internal processes, choosing Alepo’s workflow management and affiliate management systems to ensure smooth completion of tasks and automated management of wholesale partners. Alepo’s solutions provide a backoffice system designed to ease growing pains and provide a smooth foundation for expansion.
YTP felt confident enlisting Alepo for the deployment of a Alepo convergent BSS solution in Myanmar primarily owing to the company’s strong presence in the APAC countries like Bhutan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Maldives and many others. With an Alepo convergent BSS solution, YTP will be able to offer customers a wide range of prepaid and postpaid fixed and wireless broadband offers while achieving a competitive advantage through reduced time to market.
Broadband access remains one of the weak links in the Myanmar market. With Alepo’s convergent BSS solution, YTP will be able to bring broadband services and revenue opportunities to market faster without adding network complexity, all while paving the way for next-generation network services. The platform offers multi-access network support, which will enable YTP to use a convergent infrastructure for its ADSL, FTTH and wireless broadband network, thereby reducing OPEX and TCO.
With Alepo’s comprehensive solution, YTP is assured of proven and flexible solution to deliver new innovative services faster and to meet customers’ evolving needs. Maturity, stability, and innovation make Alepo a market-leading vendor of solutions for both established and evolving internet service providers like YTP.
“For established providers, their original networks can prove unwieldy as customer needs shift and new technologies emerge,” said Vani Manian, Technical Director APAC at Alepo. “Alepo has always been committed to providing solutions that offer operators the agility to respond to market changes, now and into the future. We are proud to work to modernize YTP’s network as it moves into new markets.”
