Digicel Samoa launches a wireless ISP with a focus on policy enforcement by utilizing Alepo’s WiFi ISP Billing Solution.
Sunday, 8th September 2013 —Alepo, a leading provider of network and IT solutions for next telecommunications service providers, announced today that Digicel Samoa has launched a wireless broadband network powered by Alepo’s WiFi ISP Billing Solution, comprised of Alepo’s AAA, PCRF lite, and Service Enabler 8.1.
Digicel Samoa enters the market with a desire to provide robust plans to customers at extremely competitive rates, as a means to offer this new service to as many customers as possible. In order to do so, it was imperative that Digicel Samoa choose vendors that allowed them to offer a rich array of prepaid and postpaid plans, both with the ability to preserve revenue and network integrity with real-time hot-lining and real-time Quality of Service (QoS) enforcement.
Through integration with Cisco ISG Platform, Digicel Samoa has launched a network with an emphasis on policy enforcement, offering customers the choices that distinguish providers in the wireless marketplace. Features such like enforcement of bandwidth caps etc ensure a solution that captures market opportunities while preserving the strength of the network. As the network grows, Digicel Samoa is assured of endless and painless scalability.
“Alepo’s services ensures us of a solution that gives us the flexibility necessary to tailor plans exactly to the changing needs of our customers – this ultimately reinforces the quality and reliability of our products and services,” stated Christian Fruean, CEO of Digicel Samoa.
“As the importance of wireless data continues to grow in the marketplace, it is vital that providers choose partners working to monetize their services in innovative ways,” stated Brandon Johnson, VP of Services at Alepo. “As Digicel Samoa enters this market, we are proud to support their deployment with a solution that enables them to distinguish their offers from day one.”
