Alepo recently announced a new partnership with U.S.-based system integrator, Comtech Telecommunications Corp, to support Caricel’s islandwide LTE network deployment in Jamaica with a complete Alepo LTE monetization solution.

Tuesday, May 31, 2016, Austin, TX – Alepo (www.alepo.com) – a global provider of core network and IT software solutions for communications service providers, announced today a new partnership with Comtech Telecommunications Corp., a leading provider of advanced communication solutions to government and commercial customers, to launch LTE services at Caricel in Jamaica.

Caricel is vying to be the first 4G LTE network in Jamaica as several other communication service providers, including Digicel and Lime, prepare to roll out LTE in Jamaica.

As part of the project, Alepo will deploy its complete LTE monetization solution, including its advanced policy and charging control (PCRF), convergent charging and billing (OCS), CRM, and home subscriber server (HSS). With 4G LTE competition intensifying in Jamaica, Alepo’s LTE monetization platform enables operators like Caricel to rapidly launch innovative and competitive data offers.

“As we prepare to launch our new, superfast LTE broadband services, we are thrilled to work with Alepo as we seek to transform the Jamaican landscape with the introduction of the latest developments in LTE technology,” said Lowell Lawrence, CEO for Caricel Jamaica. “We are confident in the proven LTE leadership, innovation, and deployment expertise that an Alepo Comtech partnership offers.”

This is the first joint LTE deployment between the two U.S. companies, Comtech and Alepo.

“We are very pleased to partner with Alepo to support the launch of LTE at Caricel Jamaica,” said Jude Panetta, Group Vice President, Strategy and Technology in Comtech’s Government Solutions Segment. “Alepo’s complete LTE solutions and proven industry experience, coupled with its commitment to customer service helped them gain a competitive advantage in Caricel Jamaica’s LTE network rollout.”

Caricel is Alepo’s second mobile network operator client in Jamaica. Alepo has worked closely with Digicel Jamaica on multiple projects since 2009.
