Alepo Introduces Fixed Mobile Convergence Solution

Alepo introduces its Fixed Mobile Convergence solution to unify customer and employee interfaces, billing, and customer service across both fixed and mobile services.

February 16, 2010, Austin, TX — Alepo today announced the introduction of its Fixed Mobile Solution for extending the functionality of existing mobile infrastructures to fixed voice and data. Fixed Mobile Convergence allows a single infrastructure to support fixed and mobile voice and data with one bill, one interface, and one customer identity. As the telecommunications market convergences more and more toward single-device, single-network service delivery, it is imperative that providers have a back office solution poised to meet the needs of this changing market.

Alepo can provide a complete BSS / OSS Solution or integrate with third-party network elements to utilize legacy interfaces for new services. Alepo has already deployed this technology with customers across the globe, including Digicel, Telkom Kenya, and MTN Cameroon.

“Alepo is committed to helping providers anticipate new market trends by offering a Fixed Mobile Convergent infrastructure that supports emerging technologies, “ stated John Kim, Director of Telecommunications at Alepo. “Alepo’s solution aids providers in offering a single interface, bill, and account across all services offered, increasing customer service and market share,” he concluded.

Alepo’s Fixed Mobile Convergence solutions comprise of an IN to IP Charging Gateway, Provisioning Gateway, HLR Emulator, AAA Server, and convergent billing. Highlights of Alepo’s solution include unified identity management, real-time session management, automated activation and device pairing of CPEs, automated customer service, and ease of service bundling.

Alepo Provides Fixed Mobile Convergence and Wi-Fi Management to MTN Cameroon

December 14, 2009, Austin, TX — Alepo Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of OSS/BSS solutions for next generation services, announced today its partnership with MTN Cameroon, the leading mobile phone provider in the country, for the deployment of a fixed mobile convergent GSM and broadband data network as well as a Wi-Fi Management Solution.

Alepo will create a fixed mobile solution through integration with the existing Ericsson IN to provide both GSM and broadband to customers on a single prepaid account.  This fixed mobile solution includes the deployment of Alepo’s state-of-the-art BSS system, Alepo Service Enabler, a proprietary AAA Server and IN to IP charging gateway. It was important for MTN Cameroon to find a solution that would seamlessly migrate their customers from postpaid to a prepaid model in order to increase customer satisfaction and increase revenue by offering a zero-leakage solution.

By selecting Alepo, MTNC was assured of a solution that could be deployed with no interruption of business, and one that could offer new services without any changes to existing agent and customer interfaces, ensuring increased customer satisfaction.

Additionally, Alepo was chosen to provide Wi-Fi Management software to facilitate MTN Cameroon’s expansion of Wi-Fi Internet service.  Alepo will provide network monitoring, reporting, location management and commissioning for MTNC’s network of hotspots.  Choosing one partner for both a fixed mobile and Wi-Fi management solution eased integration and decreased the price significantly.

Alepo was chosen after a rigorous selection process.

“Alepo has been very professional and offered the most complete solution of all vendors we reviewed,” Roushay Swarts, CIO, MTN Cameroon.
