February 23, 2008, Austin, TX — Alepo today announced its membership approval within the WiMAX forum as well as its involvement in the Network Working Group (NWG).   The WiMAX forum is an industry-led, non-profit organization committed to promoting and certifying interoperable WiMAX products.  Alepo is stepping in quickly with strategic involvement in the NWG which has objectives including creating standard, higher level networking specifications for fixed, nomadic, portable and mobile WiMAX systems, beyond what is defined in 802.16.  Alepo will continue to work alongside NWG members to ensure 802.16e standards become a reality in today’s market place. “The WiMAX Forum continues to gain industry support with more than 520 members to-date,” said Ron Resnick, president of the WiMAX Forum. “As companies, both large and small, join together to create an ecosystem of interoperability, their products and services are delivering anytime, anywhere Broadband access to consumers around the world.” “Alepo is proud to be involved with the WiMAX forum and an active NWG member,” explains John Kim, Director of Telecommunications, Alepo USA. “Alepo has tirelessly been on the forefront of telecommunications technology development for 15 years and WiMAX 16e is no exception.” The WiMAX Forum is an industry-led non-profit organization comprising over 500 companies, including Alepo USA, committed to promoting and certifying interoperable WiMAX products.
