December 14, 2009, Austin, TX — Alepo Technologies, Inc., a leading provider of OSS/BSS solutions for next generation services, announced today its partnership with MTN Cameroon, the leading mobile phone provider in the country, for the deployment of a fixed mobile convergent GSM and broadband data network as well as a Wi-Fi Management Solution.
Alepo will create a fixed mobile solution through integration with the existing Ericsson IN to provide both GSM and broadband to customers on a single prepaid account. This fixed mobile solution includes the deployment of Alepo’s state-of-the-art BSS system, Alepo Service Enabler, a proprietary AAA Server and IN to IP charging gateway. It was important for MTN Cameroon to find a solution that would seamlessly migrate their customers from postpaid to a prepaid model in order to increase customer satisfaction and increase revenue by offering a zero-leakage solution.
By selecting Alepo, MTNC was assured of a solution that could be deployed with no interruption of business, and one that could offer new services without any changes to existing agent and customer interfaces, ensuring increased customer satisfaction.
Additionally, Alepo was chosen to provide Wi-Fi Management software to facilitate MTN Cameroon’s expansion of Wi-Fi Internet service. Alepo will provide network monitoring, reporting, location management and commissioning for MTNC’s network of hotspots. Choosing one partner for both a fixed mobile and Wi-Fi management solution eased integration and decreased the price significantly.
Alepo was chosen after a rigorous selection process.
“Alepo has been very professional and offered the most complete solution of all vendors we reviewed,” Roushay Swarts, CIO, MTN Cameroon.
